Giving Other an Opportunity to Learn

Last month, Tim Howarth, a representative from the UK charity, United World Schools, paid us a visit. He came to thank the children, staff and parents of the Infant and Junior Schools personally, for all the fundraising they have carried out in order to build a school in Cambodia.

Tim attended assemblies in both the Infant and Junior Schools and had an opportunity to talk to our St Chris Award students, Student Council and Global Citizen Award students. He expressed how impressed he was with the level of commitment to such a project and the enthusiasm of all the children he spoke to throughout his visit. He also spent time at the Senior School with some of the students and, again, was amazed at the amount of citizenship shown here too.

Mrs Brandreth, Miss Bataineh and Mrs McKay are really looking forward to their visit to Ka Narng Ket School which will take place in May. Mrs Brandreth said “It is so exciting to think we will have a chance to meet the children who we have provided an education for – it is such a privilege.”
