Rain Didn’t Stop Play or Reading!
After a wet and windy start to Sunday morning, the February book fair, hosted by Bookcase book store went ahead as planned albeit with a slightly delayed start. A huge thanks to our superb caretaking team who helped save the day and the books … With rain damaged books selling at a fantastic 50% discount, lots of parent and children took advantage of snapping up a bargain.
As always the book fair was popular with both parents and students – the Star Wars and Minecraft table being by far the busiest. Lots of Mother’s Day shopping was done, Alice told me how she had saved her pocket money in the hope of finding a beautiful colouring book for her mum, which she did!
Thanks to the support of our wonderful parents and children the library will benefit from new books of over BD850 – Thank you once again for supporting our book fair
