An incredible amount raised for Charity!

We were thrilled to take part in the Sovereign Art Foundation Schools Prize 2016 in April. Students from across the whole school submitted pieces in four categories, 6 to 8 years, 9 to 11 years, 12 to 14 years and 15 to 18 years. They were all displayed, along with entries from nine other schools, in the Third Charity Art Exhibition which was held under the Patronage of HE Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Under Secretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, Ministry of the Interior and the Honorary President of the Bahrain Arts Society.

The artwork was then sold throughout the week, with all proceeds going to support the efforts of the Bahrain Royal Charity Organisation (RCO). Members of the Bahrain Arts Society then voted on one winning piece from each category and these were auctioned during the Third Charity Auction Gala Dinner on 25 April.

The Sovereign Art Foundation raised a fantastic total of over BD270,500 this year, which will be donated to the RCO to help care for over 5,000 orphans and widows.

Lily Williamson, Year 6, 'Canine'(WINNER)Congratulations to all the students and to our fantastic Art Teachers for all their hard work and creativity – and to student Lily Williamson in Year 6 for being voted the winning submission in her category!
