On Saturday 23 March, twenty one Senior School teachers were fortunate to take part in training to help them to become knowledgeable and expert supervisors for the AQA Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).  The EPQ is a voluntary extra qualification and can earn an A Level student a maximum of 70 UCAS points. It involves writing a 5000 word essay on a subject of the student’s choice which is complemented with a presentation on the subject chosen. Each student is allocated a teacher supervisor to guide them through the process of research and academic writing which can take up to 120 hours. The training was led by the AQA Examination Board Principal Moderator for EPQ, Ms Christine Andrews.
