Paws Fur Thought

Last week, following a huge effort from the children in Year 1, four children and Mums delivered thirteen huge bags of homemade dog treats to the BSPCA  Animal Shelter. The children had just completed a literacy unit about looking after pets and the work that the BSPCA do. They made the doggy treats at home as part of their community service project. The children wrote letters to their parents asking for help and support in providing ingredients and helping them bake the healthy snacks. When the day came to bring the biscuits into school, the classes were overrun with all manners of tasty snacks!

After dropping off the treats, the children had a tour of the new BSPCA  facilities and met the residents which included rabbits, ducks, lots of cats and dogs and a donkey!

Well done to Zahra Asif, Lydia Brown, Zoe Markley and Sascha Dixon and their Mums for giving up their time to show their support for our chosen worthy cause.
