Our final ‘what makes me feel proud’ assembly got off to an amazing start with the Y5/6 Choir’s moving rendition of “Sailing” which really had the wow factor.

We, then had a very diverse selection of items, all of which quite rightly fall into the category of accomplishments to be proud of.

Elikem from 3D started us off with a PowerPoint presentation about his basketball skills and also showed us some of his moves. Also from Year 3, this time 3C, Matthew, Jacob and Callum shared their Scratch presentation which was very impressive and brought together both animation and sound effects in a very professional manner.

Noora from 5B touched our heart strings when she described her Year 4 challenge project which she undertook at Salmaniya Hospital entertaining long-term sick children in the children’s ward. A very worthwhile project, Noora. Well done!

We then had two dance performances, Areeba, Shefali, Aanvi and Ayzah from 4C who were dressed for the part and danced with a great deal of rhythm. Caline from 5D also elegantly dressed performed a demonstration of her ballet skills with great poise and confidence.

Everyone in the hall then gave rapt attention to James from 5F and Ben from 6C who both gave noteworthy solo performances on the drums. Ben also described his drum learning journey and reinforced to everyone the importance of continually practising a new skill until you get it right.

Our last item celebrated our multilingual pupils when Joy (6D), Khushi (6D), Lorenzo (5C) and Alex (4E) performed a short dialogue which involved them speaking in French, Italian, Arabic, English, German, Swiss and Hindu with surprising fluency.

A great end to a very inspiring assembly. Well done to all our participants. We are proud of you all.
