IB Science Project

This year’s project theme was based on the Olympics. This involved all IB students working collaboratively to complete ten hours of practical work, stretched over two days. Experimental research was carried out to answer such questions as:

What affects the range of a ski jumper?

Which fuel for the Olympic torch is the most effective?

Do fitter people have greater lung capacity?

Does swimming in a pool weaken your hair?

Does diet affect athletic performance?

Students made their well-received presentations to an audience comprising Principal, Mr Goodwin, Deputy Head of Senior School, Mr Steve Keeble, IB Co-ordinator, Mr Paul Walters, teaching staff and students.
