Year 6 have been feeling the heat when competing in the D&T Junior Masterchef Competition. From 36 teams down to 6 semi finalists the standard of food and presentation has been excellent this year.  We have had a delightful combination of meals created and beautifully presented. We were very lucky to have the Executive pastry chef Jonathan Challenor of the Ritz Carlton to help judge the Finals. The winning team from 6B were Prudence, Shahikha, Anishka, Saifyah and Noorhan. Accompanied by Mr Wilkins and Mr Van Der Eyken the team were lucky enough to a behind the scenes tour at the Ritz Carlton, Bahrain. Chef Mohmammed  provided them with a guided tour of the kitchen and also showed the children how to make guacamole at the mexican restaurant Cantina Kahlo.

We are very grateful for their judging and our amazing visit to the Ritz organised by Karin Andrews the Ritz Carlton Restaurant Sales Manager, Yann Lejard Executive Chef, Barusch Hernandez Sous Chef, Mohamed Abadou Chef de Cuisine and Chignon Carrasco Culinary Admin Assistant.
