Grease is the Way, is the Way …
Grease, the musical that everyone knows and everybody loves, was performed by Senior School students from Year 7 to Year 13 on the 2, 3, 4 and 5 December. With seventy-seven students in the Cast, ten in the Band, and nearly forty students backstage, this was a huge production – and what a production it was! The audience were transported back to America in the 1950s and were unanimous in their praise for the wonderful performances, dancing, music, set and costumes. During the performances, there was frequent applause, laughter and sometimes even dancing as the audience enjoyed the catchy, well-known songs. In creating the performance of Grease, the Drama and Music departments worked side-by-side with the students, during three months of hard work and fun. At the end of the four day run, the question on everyone’s lips was ‘what’s next?’. Watch this space!
