On the evening of Thursday 4 October, students put on their dancing shoes for the Year 7 Disco! The students enjoyed a night of pop hits, old classics and the odd children’s song, ably organised and DJ’d by the Year 11 prefects. Year 7 were also treated to a pizza buffet and the even rarer treat of a staff dance-off, which was won with style by Mr Wales dancing to “Shut Up And Dance” by Walk the Moon. There were prizes for the best dressed boy and girl, as well as the best dancers. Competition was fierce, with some incredible dance moves on display; many congratulations to the eventual winners. Thanks to Mr Philpots and the Year 11 prefects for organising such a successful event. Thanks also to the willing chaperones (and slightly less willing dancers) Mrs Gillard, Mrs Woolf, Mrs Moore, Mr R Wales, and Mr Mac.
