The World Class Tests in Mathematics are designed to provide a challenging and fun assessment of our most able students. The approach in World Class Tests is to focus on a student’s mastery of the curriculum covered in the early part of their secondary education. Students taking World Class Tests should be able to think creatively and logically; use their thinking skills to solve problems and answer questions on subjects that they may not have studied previously; work out and respond to unfamiliar information, and demonstrate clearly how they think through and solve questions. 33 students from Y9 received awards. There were 19 Pass certificates (20% awarded globally); 7 Merit certificates (10% awarded globally) and 7 Distinctions (5% awarded globally).
