Old and New Meet

BFort

Qal’at al-Bahrain (Bahrain Fort), has witnessed continuous habitation for more than 4000 years. But rarely, perhaps, has it seen such an enthusiastic and motivated group of children as the three groups of Year 1 pupils who visited in the first week of February. Our trip to Bahrain Fort sits at the end of a study of castles and cements much learning about castle design and use. The children had great fun looking at the moat, turrets, curtain walls, keep and drawbridge. Whilst at the ancient fort, the children utilised some thoroughly modern technology – in the form of Samsung tablets, to make a pic-collage documenting their trip. Thank you to the parent helpers that accompanied us, the children had a wonderful time.
