Science Stars!

Natural curiosity and an eagerness to investigate the world of science, was very much in evidence during the Year 5 visit to the Bahrain Science Centre. Whilst some children took the opportunity to test their physical strength, others examined their senses of sight and hearing. We were also able to challenge our reaction times and our memories; at least, I think we did… For some strange reason, lying on a bed of nails proved irresistible to a number of children!

Other highlights included watching the formation of ‘tornadoes’ in smoke, and waves in water. Some children were also fortunate enough to be given a demonstration of the effects of static electricity. This was an excellent opportunity for our children to involve themselves with some practical science investigations that complemented much of the work we have been doing in school. The Bahrain Science Centre is well worth a visit!
