The Bahrain Marathon relay is the biggest charity sporting event of the year. 16 students signed up to represent the school and complete in the under 18 category. Although the competition was fierce at this increasingly successful event, there was a fantastic turn out from our Senior School students to ensure St Christopher’s was strongly represented.
The day itself was cool and damp and everyone was thankful for the perfect running conditions. Students arrived at their leg starts promptly and eager to begin. On the day, most of the students were able to improve on their personal best times. Highlights included Louis Mulleague gliding past his Dad, Mr Mulleague, on leg two to give us an advantage against the Junior Staff Team. All of our runners thoroughly enjoyed the day and achieved an impressive 27th place out of 208 teams that took part on the day. We thank them for taking part in such a worthwhile charity event promoting good team spirit and a healthy lifestyle.
Overall 27th Place out of 208. The relay was run in 3:34:53.
