The cold and windy 19th of January saw the annual clean-up of AL ASRY beach, by over forty people from the staff, families and friends of the senior, junior and infant schools, joined by senior school pupils taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award for the Community service section. Pleasingly the beach appeared to be somewhat cleaner than it had been in previous years, fortunately or unfortunately depending on your view point, we were still able to shift over forty big bags of rubbish. We left the beach in a much cleaner state for the families of Bahrain to come and enjoy. The students of St Christopher’s school doing weekly beach cleans from the months of November through to March.
