We are very pleased that William Shepherd Smith has gained a place with the National Youth Choir of Great Britain. William is currently working at Grade 7 singing and participates fully in musical extra curricular activities at school. He is also on the Advanced Performers’ Scheme at St Christopher’s, having vocal, saxophone and guitar lessons. Last term he participated in Hairspray and last year was the lead in West Side Story. We hope he enjoys the Youth Choir courses and continues to develop his musical talents.

William said “It is an amazing opportunity. This will be my 5th and my first time performing in the mixed training choir for post secondary level performers. The audition required me to demonstrate my grasp of many of the areas I have studied in both Advanced Performers’ and vocal lessons.Many thanks to all the teachers who have helped me”.
